Our community is the greatest benefit of employment at the District.  Located in south Snohomish County, Washington the District is the home of many suburban neighborhoods south of the City of Everett and north of the City of Seattle.  With the Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound nearby District employees enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, and many other outdoor activities.  Residents of the area can utilize the state ferry system and have easy access to some of the most beautiful scenery in the United States on the Kitsap Peninsula, Whidbey Island, and the San Juan Islands.  District boundaries are just south of Paine Field and the Boeing Everett Factory, as well as Naval Station Everett, both of which employ thousands of area residents.  Snohomish County has been one of the fastest growing counties in the country over the past ten years.
